Qualifications

• Requires minimum 48 college hours or paraprofessional test score.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• OSDE paraprofessional training, CPI and CPR/First Aid certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors students during transportation and assists with getting on/off buses.
• Assists with meals, classwork and therapy services as needed.
• Supports students with motor, balance, social and life skills.
• Assists with personal care, including dressing and toileting.
• Attends IEP meetings and trainings; maintains confidentiality and records.

Education

48 Hours College Credit

Passing Score on Paraprofessional Test

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Completion of Paraprofessional Training as Required by the OSDE

CPI Certificate

CPR and First Aid Certificate
