Job summary

Ponca City Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to assist in individualized and small group settings, supporting students toward their educational goals.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, paraprofessional training per OSDE requirements, and certifications such as CPI and CPR/First Aid. Regular duties include transportation support, meal assistance, classroom tutoring, and behavior monitoring.

Qualifications

• 48 Hours College Credit OR Passing Score on Paraprofessional Test.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Completion of Paraprofessional Training as Required by the OSDE.
• CPI Certificate.
• CPR and First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Monitors students on district provided transportation and assists students getting on or off buses and vans.
• Accompanies students to the cafeteria for meals and assists with meals and cleanup.
• Accompanies students to classes or therapy, monitors behavior, and assists with classwork.
• Provides one-on-one tutoring as scheduled.
• Observes, records and charts student behavior and progress.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information.
