Job summary

Liberty Elementary School in Ponca City, Oklahoma is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities across classrooms and transportation. This role involves direct student supervision, assisting with meals, therapy services, and routine personal care under the guidance of licensed staff.

You will participate in IEP meetings, help implement instructional programs, monitor progress, and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

Requires 48 hours of college credit or passing score on paraprofessional test.
Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of paraprofessional training as required by OSDE.
CPI certificate required.
CPR and First Aid certificates required.

Responsibilities

Monitors students on district transportation and assists with boarding and getting on/off buses.
Accompanies students to meals, assists with eating and cleanup.
Assists with classes, therapy services, monitors behavior and supports with classwork.
Helps students with motor, social and life skills; supports personal care as needed.
Attends IEP and other meetings and trainings; communicates concerns to teachers.
Maintains confidentiality of student information and follows laws and policies.
Assists teachers in monitoring progress toward IEP goals and helps with small group instruction.
Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
