Job summary

Mansfield City School District is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional—One on One at Sherman Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include supporting a single student with learning objectives and meeting physical and medical needs under teacher direction.

The role requires assisting with assessments, behavior support, language development, and classroom prep, while maintaining confidentiality and coordinating with school staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Two years at an institution of higher learning or an Associate Degree or higher, or demonstrated reading/writing/math instruction ability per Ohio standards.
• Possess or be able to secure Ohio Education Aide permit.
• Willing to attend at least 15 hours of in-service training each school year.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher by working with an individual student to meet learning objectives.
• Provide for the physical and medically related needs of the student.
• Perform a wide variety of tasks following standard practices and procedures.
