Job summary

Stockton Unified School District seeks a dedicated one-on-one paraprofessional assistant to support teachers and students with severe disabilities (ages 3–22). You will assist with instruction, mobility, daily routines, and data collection under teacher supervision.

Qualifications

• Education: completion of 12th grade and at least 1 year experience with handicapped students.
• No Child Left Behind: 48 semester units or district-approved certification.
• CPR/First Aid certificate within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist student to and from buses and classes.
• Teach independent mobility and daily living skills.
• Assist in development and implementation of IEPs under supervision.
• Supervise student during study, lunch and activities.
• Record daily progress and assist with instructional materials.
• Operate audio-visual equipment and classroom tools.
