Job summary

Merrick, Inc. is seeking In-Home Supports (IHS) Caregivers to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

You will help clients build independence, work toward personal goals, and participate in meaningful activities tailored to each person’s needs and preferences. Ideal candidates enjoy building relationships, working independently, and delivering personalized care.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to use electronic devices, databases, and internet-based applications.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with adults who have IDD.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living assistance and support personal cares and life skills.
• Help clients pursue personal goals and greater independence.
• Plan and participate in activities and community outings.
• Provide transportation to activities and community destinations.
• Complete required documentation for services and goals.
• Follow individualized support plans and safety procedures.
