Islands Family YMCA is seeking an EGYM Trainer to provide one-on-one orientation on the EGYM circuit at the Savannah location. The role includes meeting with members after orientation to discuss imbalances and recommend training options, including personal training opportunities available through the YMCA.

The position emphasizes safety, customer service, and alignment with the YMCA's core values, while supporting overall member retention and community programs.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Personal Trainer Certification required.
• CPR and First Aid within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to develop and implement personal exercise programs.
• Knowledge of accepted fitness standards and practices.
• Ability to provide fitness testing.
• Background check and authorization to work with children as per YMCA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and orientation on the EGYM circuit and HUB.
• Complete follow-up consultations with members.
• Suggest personalized exercises tailored to individual needs.
• Explain how personal training could complement EGYM training.
• Ensure safety and well-being of members during instruction.
• Assist in member retention through customer service.
• Support fundraising activities during Annual Campaign as needed.
• Maintain a positive, cheerful attitude with staff and participants.
