Qualifications

• Approval by the Westchester Department of Civil Services.

Responsibilities

• Assists a certified teacher with non-instructional tasks in the classroom.
• Provides one-on-one support to students with special needs as assigned.
• Checks homework and papers, assists with attendance and materials, and helps with classroom setup.
• Proctors examinations and maintains classroom order in the teacher's absence.
• Assists with use of technology and maintains a positive learning environment.
