Job summary

Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital in Plymouth Meeting, PA, is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician to support our Oncology service and deliver outstanding care to pets and their families.

This part-time role involves assisting with appointments, diagnostics, and treatments, maintaining records, and collaborating with neurology, emergency, and specialty teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in a veterinary hospital or specialty practice is preferred.
• CVT credentials are preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with in-house laboratories and diagnostic equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Oncology team with patient appointments, treatments, diagnostics, and follow-up care.
• Obtain patient histories, prepare exam rooms, and support veterinarians during appointments.
• Collect and process diagnostic samples while operating in-house laboratory equipment.
• Monitor and care for oncology patients throughout treatment and maintain accurate medical records.
• Communicate clearly with clients about patient care and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with specialty and emergency teams to provide seamless care.
