Job summary

Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital in Plymouth Meeting, PA is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician to support our Oncology service and deliver outstanding care to pets and their families.

This part-time role offers the opportunity to gain experience in a specialty setting, with starting pay of $22/hr based on experience, and benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401k, PTO, CE allowance, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a veterinary hospital or specialty practice is required.
• CVT credentials preferred but not required.
• Proficiency running in-house laboratory analyzers and diagnostic equipment is required.
• Experience handling animals safely and providing exceptional patient care.
• Familiarity with EzyVet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Oncology team with patient appointments, treatments, diagnostics, and follow-up care.
• Obtain patient histories, prepare exam rooms, and support veterinarians during appointments.
• Collect and process diagnostic samples while operating in-house laboratory equipment.
• Monitor and care for oncology patients throughout their treatment journey.
• Maintain accurate medical records and communicate clearly with clients.
