Job summary

Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital in Plymouth Meeting, PA is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician to support our Oncology service and deliver exceptional care to pets and their families. This part-time role involves assisting with appointments, treatments, diagnostics, and follow-up care.

Ideal candidates have experience in a veterinary setting, familiarity with in-house labs and EzyVet, and a commitment to teamwork and patient welfare.

Qualifications

• Experience in a veterinary hospital or specialty practice.
• CVT credentials preferred but not required.
• Proficient with in-house laboratory analyzers and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience handling animals safely and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Oncology team with appointments, treatments, diagnostics, and follow-up care.
• Prepare exam rooms and support veterinarians during appointments.
• Collect and process diagnostic samples while operating in-house laboratory equipment.
• Monitor and care for oncology patients throughout their treatment journey.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with specialty and emergency teams to provide seamless patient care.
