Job summary

VCA Aurora Animal Hospital in Aurora, IL is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead our Medical and Radiation Oncology teams. You will mentor technicians, ensure care quality, and uphold hospital protocols in a specialty setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or eligible to transfer state license (RVT/LVT).
• Leadership experience is a plus; readiness to grow into leadership.
• Excellent communication and proactive problem-solving.
• Empathy, structure, and resilience for team guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and support a team of oncology technicians and assistants
• Mentor staff through one-on-one meetings and career development
• Ensure consistent application of hospital policies and protocols
• Provide timely feedback and coaching with Hospital Manager and HR
• Manage schedules and staffing to maintain patient care
• Foster a positive, team-first culture focused on learning and client service
• Collaborate with board-certified oncologists to deliver cancer care
