Job summary

Temple University Hospital seeks an experienced nursing leader to oversee an oncology unit under the Nurse Manager. You will direct clinical and administrative activities, supervise staff and ensure optimal staffing for quality patient care.

A strong background in ambulatory oncology operations and infusion services is essential. Required is a Bachelor's in Nursing with 3–5 years oncology experience; 1–2 years supervisory experience; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of oncology nursing experience.
• 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Oncology Certification (OCN) preferred.
• Familiarity with ambulatory oncology operations, infusion services, chemotherapy administration, multidisciplinary care coordination and oncology quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, organizes, coordinates and evaluates clinical and administrative activities of an assigned nursing unit.
• In the absence of the Nurse Manager, assumes responsibility for staff oversight and patient care on the unit.
• Supervises, evaluates, guides and counsels nursing staff to ensure optimal delivery of nursing service.
• Supports staff education and fosters a culture of excellence, patient safety and continuous improvement.

Education

Bachelor's Degree Nursing

Master's Degree Nursing or related health care field
