Job summary

Mercy Health in Springfield, OH is seeking a Nursing Assistant Unit Clerk for Oncology Services at Springfield Regional Medical Center. This role provides direct patient care under RN guidance and supports unit operations and documentation.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, reporting changes to the nurse, delivering customer service, and accurate charting. Preferred BLS, nursing student with clinical rotation, and completion of PCT training within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred.
• Nursing Student with First Clinical Rotation complete or state testing required.
• Successful completion of PCT Training Program within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including care, comfort, vital signs, personal care, hygiene and mobility.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Delivers high level customer service to patients, family, visitors and staff.
• Provides accurate, timely documentation for patient care.
• Uses professional verbal and written communication skills at all times.
