The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse to join the Oncology team for a 36-hour variable night shift.

You will care for patients with hematologic and solid-tumor cancers and participate in administering treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, stem cell transplants and CAR-T. Onsite at 75 Francis Street, the role offers a regular schedule, weekend rotations per the MNA contract, and opportunities to contribute to patient education, safety and care

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current MA registration.
  • For newly licensed nurses a BSN is required.
  • Oncology experience preferred.
  • Certification in a specialty area encouraged; membership in professional organizations recommended.
  • Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.

Job Summary

Staff Nurse / 36 Hour Variable Night / CWN7 Oncology BWH

As one of the largest service lines at BWH, there has never been a more exciting and rewarding time to join the Oncology team at BWH. As a BWH Oncology nurse you will have the chance to care for a broad-range of patients, as well as be trained to administer life-saving treatments including: Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Stem Cell Transplants, and CAR-T. Additionally, the BWH/DFCI Cancer Center supports many different research studies and protocols. As an Oncology staff nurse, you will be able to participate in the BWH shared governance structure to help make improvements and foster new ideas. If you enjoy working with a strong supportive team on the frontlines of cancer treatment- BWH Oncology nursing would be a great fit!

The Staff Nurse Will Be Responsible For
  • Providing care for a broad range of patients with hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses
  • Providing patient and family education and support throughout their admission
  • Administering treatments including: Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Stem Cell Transplants, and CAR-T
  • Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment
Qualifications

To qualify you must have:

  • Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts. For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Experience: Prior oncology experience preferred.
  • Other: Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
  • Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
