Job summary

Lockwood is seeking a Senior Scientific Director to oversee scientific content for assigned accounts across therapeutic areas in medical communications. The role involves leading accounts, guiding brand strategy, and managing scientific contributions across multiple accounts.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience, an advanced degree in science, and strong organizational and editorial skills, with oncology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience with promotional medical education content (advisory boards, speaker programs, slide decks, etc).
• Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Experience with AMA style and ethical guidelines in medical editorial processes.
• Experience in oncology; pancreatic, colorectal, or lung cancer experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned accounts and client interactions, guiding brand strategy.
• Oversee the scientific portion of brand planning and business development.
• Manage resources, develop SOWs and timelines with client services, and identify growth opportunities.
