Job summary

Myriad is seeking a senior oncology sales professional to drive adoption of our genomics and precision oncology portfolio. You will manage the full sales lifecycle, develop territory plans, and present complex clinical data to community practices, academic centers, and integrated networks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Must reside within the assigned territory.
  • 12+ years of successful sales experience in oncology, molecular diagnostics, or related healthcare sector.
  • Experience selling clinical products in oncology to oncology call points.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in highly competitive markets.
  • Proven experience driving adoption in complex healthcare environments.
  • Track record of expanding business within large health systems and integrated networks.
  • Strong clinical acumen and ability to interpret and communicate scientific data.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Expertise managing complex accounts and multi-stakeholder decision-making processes.
  • Excellent presentation, training, coaching, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, coaching, advising, problem-solving, and facilitation.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable engaging customers remotely and in person.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA laws, privacy, and patient-information ethics preferred.
  • Ability to use discretion and professionalism handling patient and physician information and documentation.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (50-75%).
  • Valid driver's license and driving record meeting Myriad's policy standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full product sales lifecycle, including new business development and lead generation.
  • Identify customer needs, present solutions, and close business using a consultative approach.
  • Build and maintain relationships with oncology practices and networks.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
  • Attend local trade shows, industry conferences, and networking events.
  • Develop and execute territory plans to exceed sales goals.
  • Deliver clinical education and presentations to oncologists and healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with marketing on sales and collateral.
  • Partner with medical affairs and other internal teams to support adoption and integration.
  • Monitor competitive activity and provide insights.
  • Stay current on industry trends.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects and mentorship for teammates.

Job description

  • Drive adoption of Myriad's genomics, precision oncology, hereditary oncology, tumor profiling, and companion diagnostic portfolio
  • Manage the full product sales lifecycle, including new business development and lead generation
  • Identify customer needs, present solutions, and close business using a consultative approach
  • Build and maintain relationships with community oncology practices, academic centers, and integrated delivery networks
  • Develop and manage commercial relationships with oncology key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals
  • Attend local trade shows, industry conferences, and networking events
  • Develop and execute territory plans to exceed sales goals
  • Identify and capitalize on commercial growth opportunities across outpatient practices, institutions, insurance payors, physician groups, and long-term care facilities
  • Deliver clinical education and presentations to oncologists, surgeons, and healthcare teams
  • Collaborate with marketing on sales and marketing collateral
  • Partner with medical affairs, operations, payer markets, and other internal teams to support product adoption and integration
  • Monitor competitive activity and provide actionable insights
  • Stay current on personalized-medicine industry and marketplace trends
  • Adhere to regulatory and company guidelines in promotional activities
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Serve as a leader and mentor for less experienced teammates
  • Travel locally daily for regular in-person engagement with healthcare providers and stakeholders
Requirements
