Job summary

Laredo Medical Center in Texas is seeking an RN in Radiation Therapy for PRN Day shifts. The role delivers patient-centered oncology nursing care, coordinates with physicians and care teams to plan and implement treatment and supportive care.

Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy, managing side effects, monitoring vitals, and providing education to patients and families. Must have RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred; 0-2 years of acute care experience required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process
• Administers prescribed medications and documents administration
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency
• Administers chemotherapy, manages side effects, monitors vitals and pain
• Maintains infection control and patient safety
• Documents patient care thoroughly and promptly
