Job summary

Uvalde Memorial Hospital seeks a Radiation Therapist to administer prescribed radiation treatments and ensure patient safety within the Radiation Oncology Clinic. You will collaborate with the oncology care team and report to the Oncology Director.

Required ARRT in Radiation Therapy, Texas licensure eligibility, and BLS certification; strong communication and patient-centered care are essential. PRN/as-needed schedule with day shifts, focused on compassionate cancer care in the community.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication in English; bilingual preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and patient-centered approach.
• High level of organization with multitasking ability.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (Office, Outlook).
• Ability to stand, walk, lift and handle equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed radiation treatments accurately and safely.
• Assist in preparing materials, calculations, immobilization and protective equipment.
• Develop and manage patient treatment plans using radiation therapy techniques.
• Verify prescriptions, charts, dosages, and patient identity prior to treatment.
• Maintain radiation safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
