Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and coordinate activities across the interdisciplinary team. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, and evaluation of care, patient education, and supporting safe transitions with discharge planning. NJ RN license required; BSN in progress supported if pursuing within 3 years.

Qualifications

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License is required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Must have six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR must be an active participant with Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, strong accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per evidence-based policies and standards.
• Coordinate care among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; document findings in real time.
• Provide patient and family education; ensure understanding.
• Engage in discharge planning and transitions of care with the care team.
• Maintain competencies and certifications as required.
