Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the State of New Jersey is required.
• BLS/CPR Certification by American Heart Association is required.
• Six (6) or more months of nursing experience is required OR must be an active participant with Hackensack Meridian Health’s Nurse Residency Program.
• Oncology nursing experience is preferred.
• BSN is preferred or willing to acquire within 3 years of hire.
• OCN is preferred.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy course is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care.
• Provide and ensure safe, individualized patient care as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate patient care and the care plan with nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• Communicate and document care plans, patient progress and outcomes.
• Administer medications with updated bar-scanning and documentation.
• Discharge patients safely and coordinate continuum of care.
• Support ongoing education and maintain competencies for licensing.
