Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Oncology Center in Columbia, SC. You will provide professional nursing care, manage oral chemotherapy plans, and assist physicians with procedures in an office setting.

Responsibilities include triaging patients, administering injections, phlebotomy, PICC/VAD/Hickman care, and ensuring accurate documentation in the patient records. Strong oncology knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
Current South Carolina license as a Registered Nurse; required within state.
ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification required within 6 months of hire and recertification as required.
BLS and CPR certification;
National Oncology Certification within 2 years of hire.
Strong analytical skills with in-depth knowledge of cancer and cancer therapy.
Proficiency in PICC line care, VAD care, Hickman/Broviac care and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients in a professional, courteous manner; educate and manage oral chemotherapy care plans.
Assist physicians with procedures, injections, phlebotomy, and nursing care.
Triage patients by phone and in person; teach patients regarding medications.
Process chemotherapy orders; communicate needs and changes to physicians.
Document all procedures in the EHR and ensure medication documents.
