Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) on the 2S Oncology unit at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital provides competent nursing care and uses the nursing process to guide assessment, planning, and evaluation. The role supports oncology patients and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team.

The shift is third (nights); new grads and experienced nurses are welcome, with sign-on bonus available. ADN is required; BSN or higher preferred. Virginia RN license and BLS within 90 days of hire are required.

Qualifications

• ADN is required and BSN or higher is preferred.
• RN license in Virginia or compact state in good standing; BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care on the 2S Oncology unit using the nursing process.
• Assess patients, plan and implement care, educate patients and families, and coordinate care with the team.
