Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital is seeking an Oncology RN for PRN Night shifts to join the unit in Beckley, WV. The Oncology Unit provides comprehensive care for adults undergoing cancer treatment, including chemotherapy administration, symptom management and education.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, a nursing degree from an accredited program, and relevant certifications. A minimum of one year of experience is preferred, with BLS current and ACLS/PALS within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record.
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.
