Job summary

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital in Florida is seeking a compassionate Oncology RN to join our team on a PRN basis. You will assess patients autonomously, provide opioid-free care within a collaborative model, and support a patient-centered approach with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities include data collection, advocacy within the care team, data analysis for diagnoses, planning individualized outcomes, patient safety advocacy, efficient use of resources, and patient education on

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or able to obtain licensure prior to start.
• 1 year of RN experience in Oncology or Chemo Therapy preferred.
• BSN is preferred.
• BLS (AHA Healthcare provider) required.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Analyze the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues.
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation.
• Act as an advocate for patient safety.
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
• Educate patients regarding their medications, procedures and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay.
