Job summary

HCA Florida West Marion Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Medical Oncology department for PRN opportunities. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team and physicians.

You will advocate for patients and families, follow nursing models, and contribute to positive clinical outcomes while aligning with the hospital’s vision and values.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license (or approved multistate license) required.
• Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation.
• BLS/ACLS (AHA) must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and every shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and care with thorough documentation in the medical record; administer meds and monitor responses.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and promptly respond to patient requests.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plan, meds, side effects, and follow-up steps.
