Job summary

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse-Oncology for FT Nights to elevate patient care through collaborative relationships with the direct manager and nursing councils. You will help shape decisions that improve outcomes and advance the practice of nursing.

The role requires BLS within 30 days, RN license, an Associate Degree, and completion of chemotherapy/immunotherapy fundamentals within 18 months.

Qualifications

• RN license and eligibility to practice as an oncology nurse.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Oncology Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy fundamentals must be obtained within 18 months of start date.
• No travel required for this role.
• No previous experience required for appropriate entry levels.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Analyze the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues.
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation.
• Act as an advocate for patient safety.
• Educate patients regarding medications, procedures and treatments during the stay.
