Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing; BSN within 5 years.
• Active NM or Compact state nursing license.
• 2 years medical-surgical or ICU nursing experience.
• Oncology/Infusion experience preferred.
• Chemotherapy/biotherapy/immunotherapy provider certification within 1 month.
• National Oncology Certification within 2-3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient needs and responses.
• May cover other clinic areas or infusion services as needed.
• Coordinates patient care with family and healthcare team.
• Provides education and bereavement support to patients and families.
• Administers chemotherapy and oncology treatments per physician orders.
• Ensures adherence to standards of care and safety protocols.
• Orientates and mentors new staff and students as needed.
