Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Current RN license in Missouri or Compact Licensure.
• American Heart Association BLS.
• ACLS
• NIHSS may be required

Responsibilities

• Follows established hospital policy regarding patient safety measures to provide patient care in a safe environment.
• Provides nursing care including administration of medications, nursing interventions, and patient/family teaching.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessments to monitor patient status and support clinical decision making.
• Documents patient care activities and quality monitoring items.
• Communicates patient information to physicians and team members to improve outcomes.
• Educates patients and families to support health care outcomes.
• Maintains ongoing professional development through continuing education.
