Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• One year experience preferred.
• Current Missouri RN license or Compact Licensure.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• GN must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Follows hospital policy on patient safety, infection prevention, safe patient handling and movement.
• Provides nursing care including administration of medications and patient/family teaching.
• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Documents patient care activities to support quality measures.
• Communicates patient information to physicians and team members; delegates as appropriate.
• Communicates with patients and families to enhance experience and outcomes.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and pursues continuing education.
