Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Licensed RN (IDFPR).
• Nursing diploma.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care provided.
• Completes initial patient assessment and develops care plan.
• Implements plan of care and nursing interventions.
• Communicates with team to resolve issues and provide feedback.
• Identify learning needs and pursue solutions.
• Complete departmental competencies.
• Perform patient care duties including head-to-toe assessments, starting IVs, NG tubes, dressings, Foley catheters, port access, and chemotherapy administration.
