Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking an RN for Medical Oncology per diem at the Fall River Cancer Center. The nurse will provide oncology education, treatment, and psychosocial support to patients and families under the Manager, Patient Care.

Qualifications include MA RN licensure, CPR, and 3+ years Med/Surg with oncology interest. OCN preferred; vaccination requirement applies; compensation based on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• A minimum of three years Medical Surgical experience with special interest in Oncology is preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification and/or IV management skills required.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred or become certified.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Manager, Patient Care, perform a wide variety of nursing duties involving providing comprehensive oncology education, treatment, and psychosocial support to the oncology patient and their families.
• Actively support assigned committees, tumor boards, or other services the manager may assign.
