Job summary

Southcoast Health in Fall River, MA seeks an RN for Medical Oncology on a per diem basis. The role focuses on comprehensive oncology education, treatment, and psychosocial support for patients and families in the Cancer Center.

You will participate in tumor boards and related committees as directed by the manager. Requirements include Massachusetts RN licensure, 3+ years Medical-Surgical experience with oncology interest, CPR, and ONS or IV management credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Minimum of three years Medical-Surgical experience with Oncology interest preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification and/or IV management skills required.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred or become certified.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or exempt with signed declaration.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Manager, provide comprehensive oncology education, treatment, and psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Actively support committees, tumor boards, or other services as assigned by the Manager.

Hours: Per Diem

Shift:Day shift; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location: Cancer Center - Fall River, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Under the direction of the Manager, perform a wide variety of nursing duties involving providing comprehensive oncology education, treatment, and psychosocial support to the oncology patient and their families. Actively support assigned committees, tumor boards, or other services the manager may assign.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• A minimum of three years (3) Medical Surgical experience with special interest in Oncology is preferred.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification and/or IV management skills required.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred or become certified
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
