Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Inc. in Fairhaven, MA invites an experienced RN to join the Oncology team. The role covers education, treatment, and psychosocial support for oncology patients and their families, under the Manager, Patient Care.

Ideal candidates have oncology-focused medical-surgical experience, active MA RN licensure, CPR, and oncology certifications; vaccination compliance or approved exemption is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• A minimum of three years (3) Medical Surgical experience with special interest in Oncology is preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification and/or IV management skills required.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred or become certified.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or be exempt by signing a statement.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Manager, Patient Care, perform a wide variety of nursing duties involving providing comprehensive oncology education, treatment, and psychosocial support to the oncology patient and their families. Actively support assigned committees, tumor boards, or other services the manager may assign.
