Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing
• BSN required
• 2 yrs nursing exp ~ Oncology care exp preferred
• Board Certification within 2 years of hire
• Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills
• Ability to access, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient needs
• Current RN license in the state of Illinois, CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of patients with cancer-related health concerns.
• Interview and assess new patients for physicians.
• Assist physicians with clinic visits and procedures as needed.
• Expedite appointment processes and educate patients on prevention and treatment.
• Coordinate testing and results reporting using EMR tools.
• Provide emotional support and ensure continuity of care across care settings.
