Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to oversee care activities for ambulatory oncology patients, including assessment, planning, and intervention. The RN will educate patients and families, coordinate with the healthcare team, and support discharge planning and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include chemo administration, sedation, venous access management, and patient education.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; NY State Registered Nurse License required.
• Minimum 2 years Medical Oncology Nursing Experience.
• ONS Active Chemotherapy - Biotherapy Provider Card required.
• BLS and ACLS required (American Heart Association).
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care for patients and families in ambulatory care.
• Perform chemo, therapeutic treatments, and therapeutic phlebotomies.
• Administer medications (oral/IM/IV/SQ/Inhaled).
• Coordinate patient flow, assignments, and medical record prep.
• Triage sick and walk-in patients and manage telephone triage.
