Job summary

Banner Health in Gilbert, Arizona is seeking a Registered Nurse in Oncology to deliver specialized cancer care. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients across the cancer journey and document care in the patient record.

This role supports Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center and Banner Gateway Medical Center with a 40-hour week (Tu-Fri, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) in a Magnet-recognized environment, focusing on compassionate, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Oncology nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational and discharge planning needs.
• Formulates and initiates a plan of care with multidisciplinary team.
• Implements and coordinates the plan of care with physician orders and nursing plan.
• Monitors patient progress and documents in the medical record.
• Keeps communication clear among caregivers to ensure continuity of care.
