Qualifications

Must hold a current, valid RN license in the state of practice.
BLS certification is required.
Experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual and educational needs.
Formulate and implement a plan of care with discharge planning.
Collaborate with physicians and the care team to create treatment plans.
Document nursing care and patient response in the medical record.
Educate patients and families and provide ongoing support.
Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team for consistent delivery.
Promote evidence-based nursing and quality indicators.
Supervise and mentor staff when applicable within the unit.
Participate in professional development and Magnet-related activities.
