Job summary

Northern Light Health seeks an experienced coding and audit professional to support oncology coding and revenue-cycle operations. You will train staff, maintain coding accuracy, and assist in ICD-10 implementations across outpatient and clinic settings.

The role requires extensive knowledge of CPT/ICD-9, price file maintenance, and collaboration with PAS and finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies. Strong organizational skills and proactive problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 10 years healthcare office experience.
• Preferred education/training in medical billing or coding.
• Certification CPC/CHONC/ROCC and/or CRCP-I recommended or willingness to obtain.
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-9-CM, CPT, and E/M coding and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Works with management and staff to resolve coding and billing discrepancies.
• Maintains accuracy of coding audit sheets and price files.
• Lead and participate in monthly audits and cross-audit meetings with affiliated providers.
• Develops training materials for cross-training of clinic coders in oncology.
• Assists in ICD-10 implementation in the clinic and supports business office staff.
