Job summary

Ascension Health's Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX seeks a PRN Registered Nurse in Oncology to implement and monitor evidence-based patient care plans under RN supervision. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within a supportive team.

You will participate in proactive monitoring, input physician and nursing orders, and engage in transition-to-practice programs to sharpen clinical judgment; Texas RN licensure and a current BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire.
• Registered Nurse credential from Texas Board of Nursing required.
• Chemotherapy certification preferred.
• Diploma or professional licensure at time of hire.
• 1 year nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guided Care Execution: implement, monitor and document care plans.
• Proactive Monitoring: record and communicate shifts in patient condition to RN.
• Collaborative Practice: input and execute physician orders under RN supervision.
• Clinical Competency Development: participate in transition-to-practice programs.
• Person-Centered Advocacy: provide safe, high-quality, empathetic care.
