Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a registered nurse to provide leadership in coordinating quality patient care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and families. The role requires strong communication with the health care team and participation in solving variances from patient goals.

This 36-hour-per-week position includes midnight shifts, every other weekend and holiday rotations, and a full-time benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and hospital staff.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Healthcare provider certification (BCLS).

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to care for patients and teach families.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient information to the health care team.
• Participates in developing solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation.
