Qualifications

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing and BCLS certification.
• Excellent communication with patients, families and hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop comprehensive care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
• Provide direct patient care and delegate tasks effectively while supervising care delivery and maintaining thorough documentation.
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, and self-care strategies.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Identify variances from patient goals and participate in developing solutions to optimize care.
• Demonstrate clinical knowledge and analytical thinking to tailor oncology nursing interventions.
• Embrace continuous learning in oncology nursing and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
