Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Thornton, CO, is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to administer chemotherapy and manage patient care in an oncology setting. The role requires a valid RN license, BLS, and at least two years of nursing experience, with preference for oncology experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license and current state registration.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum two years nursing experience, oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers chemotherapy, hydration and other medications under physician supervision.
• Completes chemotherapy charge forms and ensures proper reimbursement.
• Obtains pre-authorization and consent forms prior to therapies.
• Maintains knowledge of ambulatory infusion pump use and documentation of pump usage.
• Assesses patient, labs, and modifies doses per protocol in consultation with physician.
• Performs venipuncture and port/central line care.
• Instructs patient/caregiver on pump use at home and documents care.
• Documents nursing assessments and communicates with the physician.
