Job summary

SCRI Oncology Partners in Nashville, TN seeks a Certified Medical Assistant Radiology to support physicians with patient care, perform clerical tasks, and assist in exams and procedures. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, recording data, collecting specimens, and managing room readiness.

The role requires a minimum of three years as a medical assistant, BCLS certification within 3 months of hire, and CMA certification preferred. State-specific certifications may apply.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Minimum three years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Some state regulations may require specific certifications to work as a Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Record patient data prior to physician visits (vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes).
• Obtain necessary patient records before treatment or procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures.
• Obtain blood specimens as needed following OSHA guidelines.
• Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated.
• Maintain disinfection protocols for exam/treatment rooms.
• Answer patient calls and refer to physician or nurse/pharmacist.
• Schedule tests, procedures, and follow-up appointments.
