Advocate Christ Medical Center - Oncology: Radiation in Oak Lawn, IL seeks a Radiation Therapist to deliver prescribed radiation doses accurately and safely.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, immobilization, assisting physicians, CT simulation, brachytherapy and radiosurgery, monitor symptoms, schedule outpatients, and supervising students. ARRT licensure and Illinois license are required within 6 months; day shift with occasional weekends.

Formación

• Graduate of an ARRT approved School of Radiation Therapy Technology.
• ARRT license or registry eligibility with licensure within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver prescribed radiation dose with accuracy and precision.
• Position patients and immobilize per setup instructions.
• Assist physicians with procedures and discuss technical limitations.
• Monitor patient symptoms to decide when to withhold treatment and coordinate with physicians.
• Schedule outpatient appointments and participate in brachytherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery.
• Perform CT simulation techniques when assigned and supervise students in the clinical program.
