Additional Details

We are seeking locum coverage for a busy Radiation Oncology practice due to the retirement of a long-term physician. This is a two-physician practice, with a schedule of 3 days a week (0.6 FTE), generally worked in a stretch to complement our remaining Radiation Oncologist. There is a 50/50 call split for hospital consultations. Physicians typically overlap in clinic on Wednesdays for chart rounds with the Radiation Oncology team. Each day involves 10-15 clinic visits (including OTVs), with an average of 25 patients treated daily on the TrueBeam system. Our team includes skilled Radiation Therapists and RNs to ensure smooth operations. We have full-time on-site dosimetry with a pay-per-plan model during high-volume times, and hybrid physics support from physicists on-site every other week and remotely at other times. On-site CT simulation, and our facility is part of the hospital campus with access to CT, PET, and MRI. We are an ACS Commission on Cancer certified Cancer Center, conducting multidisciplinary tumor boards every Thursday, and welcome participation from locum colleagues. Our practice shares a suite with Medical Oncology and Infusion Therapy, facilitating seamless patient care.
