Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking an IS Epic Ambulatory Specialties Analyst to design, build, and support oncology research protocols within Epic Beacon and Research. You will collaborate with oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and IT staff to translate research requirements into system functionality.

The role supports a hybrid schedule with both remote and onsite work, participates in after-hours on-call rotation, and reports to the IS Epic Ambulatory Specialties Manager.

Qualifications

• Seven years of related experience or a Bachelor's degree plus three years of related experience.
• Experience implementing and supporting information systems in a large healthcare organization.
• Ability to translate clinical protocol requirements into Epic Beacon functionality.
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse clinical and IT staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to design, build, testing, and implementation of oncology research protocols within Epic Beacon.
• Translate protocol requirements into Epic system functionality with clinical staff.
• Analyze oncology workflows and define IT solutions for improved protocol adherence and trial management.
• Document system specifications and implement changes from updates and new Epic releases.
• Provide technical resources to resolve complex build/configuration issues in Epic Beacon and Epic Research.
