Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking an Epic Beacon/Research Analyst to design, build, test, and support oncology research protocols within Epic Beacon, collaborating with Moores Cancer Center and clinical staff.

The role focuses on translating protocol requirements into functional Epic builds, providing training, documentation, and after-hours support in a hybrid onsite/remote environment at Towne Centre Drive, San Diego, CA.

Qualifications

Seven years of related experience or a Bachelor's with three years in healthcare IT.
Experience implementing and supporting information systems in a large health network.
Ability to diagnose problems, test solutions, and implement changes quickly.
Strong collaboration with clinicians, researchers, and IT staff.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Lead or contribute to design, build, testing, and implementation of oncology research protocols in Epic Beacon.
Translate protocol requirements into Epic system functionality with clinical staff.
Analyze oncology workflows and define IT solutions for enhanced trial management.
Document system specifications and implement process changes from upgrades.
Serve as a technical resource for Beacon and Research modules.
Develop SOPs and deliver training for oncology staff on Beacon/Research workflows.
Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and coordinate with vendors and departments.
