Job summary

CalvertHealth seeks a Cancer Center Practice Manager to lead day-to-day operational, financial, quality, and personnel management of the oncology practice within an integrated cancer program. This role ensures patient-centered, high-quality care while supporting strategic growth and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree (or related coursework) and at least 3 years of supervisory experience in ambulatory care, Surgery & Oncology, or physician practice settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; some undergraduate or certificate coursework in health or business administration preferred, or Master’s degree in related fields preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of customer service, administrative, or clinical support and supervisory experience, preferably in ambulatory care, Surgery & Oncology, or physician practice settings.
• Supervisory experience may include official or unofficial roles with leadership exposure.
• Unexpired, unsuspended driver’s license required if duties involve driving.
• Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies and mandatory learning per GA-057 and department requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinic operations across medical oncology, hematology, infusion, and supportive care services.
• Ensure efficient patient flow, scheduling, registration, and coordination of care.
• Monitor clinic productivity, capacity, and access metrics.
• Implement operational improvements to reduce wait times and enhance patient experience.
• Directly supervise clinical and non-clinical staff; recruit, onboard, orient, and retain personnel.
• Conduct performance evaluations and coaching; manage staffing schedules and productivity.
