Job summary

Clearview Cancer Institute is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to accurately identify patients and perform phlebotomy in a fast-paced oncology/hematology outpatient lab.

The role requires completing a Phlebotomy Technician training, 1 year of phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma or GED, and basic computer skills. You will work under supervision to collect specimens, perform POC testing, and train new staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Phlebotomy Technician training program.
• Must have 1-year phlebotomy experience in clinical laboratory setting.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients and perform phlebotomy procedures following safety regulations of the institution.
• Collect specimens from peripheral veins, Port-A-Caths, or intravenous lines using collection sets.
• Perform POC testing and QC documentation.
• Provide patient instruction for collection of stool and urine specimens.
• Train new phlebotomists as required.
• Adhere to QA/QC/Regulatory standards.
